Step 1.   Rivet the nutplates to the E-615 and E-1015 reinforcement plates.  Make sure you've dimpled the nutplates.

03/17/07  -  1 hour

Step 2.   Back rivet the reinforcement plates to their respective skins.  You'll need to secure the plate with one or two rivets, then put in the rest of the rivets using rivet tape.  Otherwise it's kind of awkward.  Goes fast, especially if you've got your gun set just the way you like it so the timed burst sets the rivet perfectly each time.

Step 3.   Back rRivet the rib halves to the skins.  Now, pay attention to the pictures.  See how the "B" half of the E-1008 rib halves are not on the top skin for each side.  They are on the top skin for the left side, and the bottom skin for the right.  Switch over to 3-3 rivets, not the 3-3.5.  If you're using the standard back rivet plate, some 3/8" hardboard is perfect to put around it to make the skins level.

03/18/07  -  4 hours (it won't take you this long.  I had other things I was doing as well)

Step 4.   As you can see in the drawing, rivet the E-1007 rear spars to the aft flanges of the E-1008B rib halves.  Don't forget the dimpled E-1022 long flange.

This is easy to do with a rivet squeezer and set.  Put a #30 cleco inside on the bottom hole, set the 4-4 rivet in the top hole, then do the bottom.  You have to force a little for the two rivets where the long flange is located, but it'll work.

03/18/07  -  1 hour

Steps 5 & 6.   Rivet the shear clips that go on the ends of the E-1007 rear spars, followed by the E-921 elevator gussets.  Make sure you pay attention to the direction of the long flange.
